Buntingford is ideal for commuters. It is perfectly situated on the A10, a 20-minute drive to a mainline train station and 40 minutes to Stansted Airport.
The town is a sought after area, with four excellent schools all highly rated by Ofsted.
Buntingford has many local clubs including, Amateur Dramatic Society, Cougars Football Club, Brownies & Scouts and Buntingford Bowls club, as well as many annual town events.
Buntingford was first mentioned in 1185, as land owned by the Knights Templar. Buntingford is Hertfordshire’s smallest town. This is attributed to the weekly market held on Market Hill, which has been in place since 1360.
Buntingford was an important stop on the route from London to Cambridge in the 15-19th centuries. The many coaching inns at the time even hosted Elizabeth I, Samuel Pepys, and Queen Victoria on their journeys. Over the years, as the town grew in population, so did the local businesses and Buntingford became the thriving market town we know today.
Buntingford is surrounded by superb green countryside with unspoilt views along its many footpaths and bridleways. With so much to explore, Buntingford is ideal for all ages and life stages.

I joined Keith Ian in the mid-nineties straight from school, working my way up from sales negotiator to eventually become branch manager at the Cheshunt office.
In 2010 I became branch manager of the Buntingford office. Â
After more than 30 years in accountancy I joined Keith Ian in 2011 as a sales negotiator. I have lived in Buntingford for more than 40 years.
I love to spend my spare time in the local community and with my children and grandchildren.
I moved to Buntingford in 2010, soon after I joined Keith Ian as an administrator, within a few years I was appointed as a sales negotiator.
In my spare time I enjoy renovating and improving my own properties.
With a degree in photography and media marketing, I joined Keith Ian in 2019 to oversee the social media channels and write a quarterly newsletter.
I love to spend time with my two young children, playing football and enjoying the countryside.
